Dear Stage Manager,
This manual is designed to give you the information that you need to know about getting ahead with stage management at the University of North Dakota Department of Theatre Arts.

This manual is not intended to replace one-on-one interaction, but, hopefully, will give quick answers to some of the questions that you may have. It also will give guidance to situations that, quite frankly, some of us take for granted.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact us. And always remember-

"If you have education and intelligence and ability, so much the better. But remember that thousands have reached the top without any of these qualities.Just have courage and memorize the simple rules in the chapters that follow. If you truly wish to be among the lucky golden few, you can!"[1]
